    Accessibility Statement

    Last Updated: March 28, 2026

    1. Our Commitment

infoMD LLC is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to health information, and we continually work to improve the user experience for all visitors, regardless of ability. We apply relevant accessibility standards to make our Site as inclusive as possible.

    2. Standards We Follow

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), provide a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible. Our efforts include:

    • Semantic HTML structure: We use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and semantic elements throughout the Site to ensure content is logically structured and navigable.
    • Color contrast: We maintain appropriate color contrast ratios between text and background colors to ensure readability for users with low vision or color vision deficiencies.
    • Alt text: All meaningful images on the Site include descriptive alternative text that conveys the purpose and content of the image to screen reader users.
    • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — including links, buttons, forms, and navigation menus — are accessible via keyboard. Users can navigate the entire Site without a mouse.
    • Screen reader compatibility: We design and develop with screen reader users in mind, using ARIA attributes where necessary to provide additional context and improve the experience.
    • Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements to assist keyboard-only users in identifying their current position on the page.

    3. Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we acknowledge that some areas of the Site may not yet fully meet all accessibility standards. Known limitations include:

    • Older embedded content: Some legacy content may not fully conform to current accessibility standards. We are working to update this content on an ongoing basis.
    • Third-party widgets: Certain third-party components (such as embedded forms or analytics tools) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control. We select third-party providers with accessibility in mind and advocate for improvements.
    • Complex data visualizations: Some charts or infographics may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. We provide text-based alternatives where possible.

We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across all areas of the Site.

    4. Assistive Technologies Supported

The Site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

    • Screen readers: Including NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows), and VoiceOver (macOS/iOS)
    • Keyboard-only navigation: Full Site functionality is available without a mouse or trackpad
    • Browser zoom: Content remains usable and readable when zoomed up to 200% without loss of functionality or content
    • High contrast mode: The Site is designed to work with operating system and browser high-contrast modes
    • Text resizing: Users can increase text size using browser settings without breaking page layouts
